A Tuesday tasting? Only a winery of stellar quality would be capable of tearing us away from our beloved Monday nights… Enter Château La Tour Blanche.
The worlds of Bacchus and La Tour Blanche first collided this time last year on a very serious trip to Sauternes, which saw President Emeritus Clem, perpetual ‘Webmaster’ James and myself take on the arduous task of working our way through the best the region had to offer.
We shall fast-forward over several wine-filled days to the crisp and bright morning of day four - by which point, one would be forgiven for expecting that between the blood sugar crash and cumulative hangover, all the wineries we managed to visit would have merged into one honey and apricot flavoured dream. But this was not the case for Château La Tour Blanche, who stood out for its delectable wines, thoroughly impressive property, and our delightful guide, Ms. Sofi Kennedy, who we are thrilled to be able to welcome to Oxford this coming week.
This is sure to be an exceptional tasting - particularly for any of my fellow sweet wine lovers. We look forward to seeing you there!
